The Five Volumes Commentary is a unique masterpiece that provides an excellent exegesis on the true meaning of the Holy Quran. Authored by Hazrat Mirza Bashir-ud-Din Mahmood Ahmad, Khalifatul Masih II, this English translation is based on his ten-volume Urdu commentary, Tafseer-e-Kabir. While no commentary can claim to encompass the final interpretation of the Holy Quran, this work sets a high standard for all future commentaries.

The Five Volumes Commentary covers a wide range of Surahs, with the first two volumes focusing on Al-Fatihah & Al-Baqarah, Yunus to Al-Ankabut, and Al-Naba to Al-Nas. The remaining Surahs, from Al-i-Imran to Al-Taubah and Al-Ahqaf to Al-Mursalat, are covered using extensive notes prepared by Hazrat Khalifatul Masih II. Although he was unable to complete a detailed and comprehensive commentary on these chapters during his lifetime, the compiling editors have ensured that the commentary remains faithful to his own deliberations.
