Filmoteket is a digital film streaming service that allows you to borrow and watch movies with your library card without having to visit the library. Developed by Norgesfilm AS in close collaboration with libraries, this service is completely free as part of the regular lending services offered by libraries, just like books and audiobooks.

With Filmoteket, you have access to a wide variety of films anytime and anywhere. You can choose from a selection of Norwegian, Nordic, European, and international titles that cater to all age groups, including children, teenagers, families, adults, and seniors. The collection spans across classics, book adaptations, major Oscar winners, and even blockbuster hits, as well as independent films in the arthouse category. The films are carefully curated by the Filmoteket editorial team and in collaboration with libraries. Currently, the library offers approximately 2000 films and series to choose from, with new and exciting content being added every week.
