What is Feeds & Speeds for Milling?

This application was developed to provide the user with a convenient way to calculate the speed and feed rate of an end mill.

The application will calculate the speed in revolutions per minute (RPM) and the feed rate in millimeters (mm). The calculation can be performed on a variety of end mill configurations, including the standard square flute.

End milling is a process in which a cutting tool is moved relative to a workpiece to cut or shape it. End milling can be performed on a variety of materials, including metals, wood, plastic, fiberglass, and more.
