Fearless and United: Guards, or popularly known as FAU-G, is an action game developed by Studio nCore. This game will give you the skin of a patriotic soldier protecting India’s northern border from enemies. As a member of a  special unit, you will need to fight enemies invading Indian soil. Not only that, but you also need to survive the unforgiving terrain. FAU-G is based on real-world scenarios, bringing the thrill and adrenaline of a border guard to life. 

Not a PUBG replacement

In light of the recent events, the Indian government has banned mobile apps that have Chinese connections. Among those are Player Unknown Battlegrounds (PUBG) and 117 other mobile games. And with PUBG gone, out blazed FAU-G. Both multiplayer, action games, and both eyeing the growing mobile gamers in India, most players think that the latter was released to be a replacement to the banned game. 

However, the developers iterated that the multiplayer game is not a response to the federal government ban. In fact, there are quite a few differences between the games. For one, unlike PUBG, the game is not a battle royale game. FAU-G associates players with major military events. They will not scout for weapons and kill each other. More, the game replicates real-life events, with the first episode showcasing the recent clash with the Chinese army at the Galwan Valley in Ladakh. 

The game will also provide players with third-person gameplay that will morph into something broader and wider. More so, nobody will enact the enemy in the scenario. The other players in the game will take on the role of your comrade. The battles will also revolve around brawler machines and melee weapons with some exploration via guided maps. This is because, as per a 1996 bilateral agreement between India and China, neither side can carry guns or explosives within two kilometers of the Line of Actual Control. 

A tribute game

Fearless and United: Guards is described as a tribute to the Bravehearts that protect India’s borders against enemies. The game captured the crucial military incidents in the country and presented it in an action-packed game. While it is not a game you can play in lieu of PUBG, overall, the game is still worth a shot if you like military war games.
