Use your already-installed address book from your status bar

Fast Address Book is a free app that adds an icon to the top right of your home screen on the address bar. Click it once or use a hotkey, and a drop-down menu appears. You may scroll through the menu to find an entry in your address book, or you may use the search function. This tool is a convenience tool for people who use their address book frequently, but who do not want to wait those few seconds it takes for them to find and load up their pre-installed address book.

An adequate convenience tool

Fast Address Book has small bugs that shouldn't exist with a paid app. For example, if you are looking for Sara, it will bring up all names with Sara in such as Sarah, Cassara, Sarat, Sarabella, and so forth. The search function allows you to search between first and last names, which means you can narrow your search field a little, but it is still a poor way to optimize your search function. Other bugs include how the image may show up for your contact, but sometimes the address doesn't show up. Plus, how the first ten result appear very quickly and the rest load far slower.
