Fair VPN is a free utility mobile app that allows you to protect your device while you surf online. Developed by UltraReach Internet Corp, this security mobile app is a simple and straightforward VPN client that supports network protocols like v2ray, vmess, and vless. 

Unlike Turbo VPN and Fast VPN, Fair VPN doesn’t have the usual one-click button interface that simply switches your VPN connection on and off. Thus, while it supports several handy protocols and is great for advanced users, it can be tricky and overwhelming for beginners. However, several users still find it to be a reliable app.

What is Fair VPN?

As a VPN client, Fair VPN doesn’t just display an easy-to-use interface that most people can tinker with right off the bat. Instead, it displays something that looks like a settings menu. The top part contains the small “Status” and “Low Memory Mode” switches. Enabling them will basically connect you to the VPN and hide your online activities. However, this app’s main selling point is its wide protocol support.

Underneath the first two switches are its supported network protocols: v2ray, vmess, vless, xtls, trojan, shadowsocks, and shadowsocksR. These are mainly specific protocols from certain projects—the first three being from Project V. Take note, however, that you will usually need to manually add these to the app in order to use them. To do this, navigate to the bottom part of the screen.

Here, you can find various functions such as “Add VPN by Link”, “Add VPN by QR Code”, “Import VPN Configs”, “Get More VPN”, and “Test VPN Latency.” The app basically allows you to customize whatever VPN protocol you prefer to use, as long as they also support the list above. However, as mentioned before, this makes it much more challenging for beginner users to set up the app.

All in all, Fair VPN is a great VPN client to have if you’re the type who’s knowledgeable in network protocols and prefers to configure everything. While it’s not easy for beginners to use, it actually doesn’t have a lot of extra steps for them to follow when adding VPNs to the app. Thus, with enough research, the app’s interface will eventually stop being a challenge to them.
