Face Touch Aware is an iPhone app developed by VaughnDavenport Development LLC. Designed to promote conscious awareness of face-touching, this app aims to help users become more mindful of their habits. It detects if your Watch-wearing hand moves near your face and alerts you whenever a face-touch is detected.

It's important to note that Face Touch Aware is not a medical device and does not claim to diagnose, measure, or treat any condition. Instead, it provides awareness and information about your habits for your own use. The app operates in hour-long training-periods, buzzing and counting each time a face-touch is detected.

The app features adjustable vibration strength and volume settings in the Settings menu. Users can choose to customize the alerts to vibrate or play a sound. The training session lasts for 1 hour in the background, but can be extended by navigating back to the app and touching the screen. Additionally, sensitivity levels can be increased if the app is not detecting enough face-touches.

It's worth mentioning that the app does not notify users before their hand touches their face, but rather after the touch occurs. This intentional design is meant to increase awareness of face-touching habits. Users can pause the app by pressing the Play/Pause button, which turns the screen yellow and stops the alerts. Pressing Play/Pause again resumes detection, with the screen turning green.
