EZ Buckets, by msps-dev, replaces paper scorebooks and spreadsheets for live basketball stat tracking and league organization. The app records game events with a tap-based interface, produces NBA-style box scores instantly, and maintains team rosters plus automated standings. It also offers player profiles with career averages, a social feed, and an achievement system with 24 badges. Target users include pickup players, local league organizers, and school teams seeking fast, mobile-first game records and shared player visibility.

Replaces paper scorebooks with tap-based live tracking

The core workflow uses a simple 'tap player, tap stat' approach designed for fast, in-play entry. Live stat tracking records points, rebounds, assists, steals, blocks, FG%, 3PT%, FT%, and plus-minus without postgame transcription. At the final buzzer the app generates NBA-style box scores automatically, giving coaches and players an immediate summary suitable for review and recordkeeping.

Manages leagues, schedules, and rosters with join-code setup

Organizers can create leagues, invite teams via join codes, schedule matches, and let standings update automatically instead of using external spreadsheets. Team and roster management stores reusable profiles so lineups persist between games, which reduces pregame admin for recurring local competitions. Centralized schedules keep fixtures and results in one mobile location for easier league coordination.

Serves as a social hub and a personal performance résumé

The social feed lets users follow teammates and rivals to see results and milestones, while claimed player profiles collect career averages and detailed game logs. An achievement system issues 24 unique badges for single-game and career milestones, helping casual players and local competitors build visible records across pickup and league play without separate documentation.

Optimized for mobile use with a minimal-distraction interface

Available on Android (requires Android 5.0 and up) and on iOS with a recent requirement, the design emphasizes speed during live action and short interaction bursts on the sideline. msps-dev frames the project as 'built for hoopers, by hoopers,' and inclusion of advanced metrics like plus-minus reduces the need for external calculations when coaches want quick contextual analysis.

To sum up, a practical mobile choice for local players and organizers

To sum up, the app is a practical option for local players and organizers who want a single mobile place for game records and public performance visibility; its design leans toward shared, community-oriented tracking rather than isolated, private logs. Pro tip: prepare rosters and invite teams with join codes before game day to minimize sideline setup. The app suits daily local-league use when community tracking matters most.
