This mod expands the playable units tree and adds new units, primarily from the Medieval and Renaissance eras. It adds a new type of character, the mercenary, to the game. They are not bound by culture and can fight for any country. The player can control a single mercenary at the start of the game and can recruit more from various locations. They will join the player's army and can be used to help in various battles. They can be used in combat, in support of the army, or as a defender. They are not noble, so they do not have an upgrade path. The player will have to create their own army and upgrade it in order to compete with other players.

This mod will add new units and weapons to the game.
