By inputting standard earned value data, such as BCWS, BCWP, ACWP, BAC, and EAC, it generates a color-coded table with variances, indices, and forecasts. This allows users to swiftly pinpoint any deviations from expected thresholds. The program's rules-based engine then processes the metrics to provide a clear narrative highlighting performance-to-date metrics, forecast discrepancies, and data anomalies.

The app generates various metrics including % Scheduled, % Complete, Cost Variance, Cost Performance Index, Schedule Variance, Schedule Performance Index, Variance at Completion, and more. EVCalculator is compatible with iPhone and iPad, functioning offline once installed.
