It's undeniable: even before their age reaches double-digits more and more children today are getting phones. And that's fine! When every other kid on the playground has a phone your child will want one too. Plus a phone provides your child with tons of learning tools (and games). But a parent also needs to make sure their child is safe on the web and doesn't stray too far as in life: ESET Parental Control can help with that.

Just As You'd Expect

Many older products such as Net Nanny provided something like the functionality ESET Parental Control does now. The difference is that ESET Parental Control is designed for mobile devices and it's quite a bit more robust: children using phones with the parental controls properly configured will generally not be able to get around it (though this was difficult for us to test). Parental Control automatically blocks malicious or undesirable websites on the phone's browser and it allows you to manually restrict the usage of apps or even the time spent on them. Notably it also allows you to locate the phone it's installed on and by extension your child.

Overall ESET Parental Control does what it's supposed to: it keeps your child safe on the Internet. It does require some setup to make it work at its best but really you as the installer know best what this app might be needed for.
