End of Abyss is an isometric action-adventure game that borrows Metroidvania elements as well as the haunting feel and story of Little Nightmares. Developed by Section 9, the game reimagines survival horror through a top-down lens. This game promises an evolved, darker horror experience with a heavier atmosphere and moody aesthetic, paired with tense gameplay. 

Grotesque bosses and terrifying adventures 

In End of Abyss, players assume control of Cel, a lone operative exploring an abandoned subterranean compound filled with grotesque creatures. Combat is built around twin‑stick aiming and timing, featuring a pistol and shotgun with limited ammo. Dodge rolling is crucial and strategic. The scanner tool reveals resource caches, hidden paths, and points of interest on the map. 

Boss encounters replicate Soulslike pattern recognition, creating tense yet fair fights that reward learning. The game excels at environmental storytelling. Resources are scarce, and enemies respawn at each save point in true Souls fashion. However, the content is limited and lacks area variety. 

A gritty descent into atmospheric dread 

End of Abyss blends the exploration aspect of Metroidvanias with the tension of survival horror. Its dark, eerie environments and challenging boss encounters push players to master every resource and movement. While it has limited content and area variety, its haunting atmosphere and strategic combat lay the foundation for a memorable horror game.
