Electrogene is a low fidelity audio effect program available for iPhone users. It combines bit-crusher, modulation, saturation, and filter functionalities with a scope visualizer. The refined algorithms of Electrogene can produce a wide range of sounds, from warm tones to harsh, reminiscent of retro digital or analog audio systems.

With Electrogene, users can modify sample rate and bit resolution, apply drift variance to the bit-crusher sample rate value, add frequency modulation to the input signal, and utilize low pass, high pass, or band pass filters. The program also allows users to set pre-gain and dry/wet levels, save and randomize parameters, and choose from 40 built-in presets. Electrogene supports Audio Unit Extension, Audiobus, Inter-App Audio, background audio, and features a realtime waveform scope visualizer.
