Honestly, the rules are rather complex - there are very intricate rules and mechanics which does involve some of these rather strange bits:

The rule to avoid holding the Diamond 7 or J, as it is considered a special card with two roles.
The player with the most cards, by the end of the game, will take 30 points.
A target score must be reached before any dealing can begin again.
