Eden Universe is a simulation game in a demo version from a one-man developer, Haxo Game Studios. In this strategy title, you take on the role of a higher being whose only reason for existence is to lead his people to resplendent glory. It boasts retro-style pixel graphics and a top-down perspective in contrast to Reus 2 and Liftlands.

With gameplay typical with god games, Eden Universe gives you control over every aspect of your people and their world. From how they lead their lives to how they become a proud nation, each decision you make has far-reaching consequences.

Acts of god

As an all-powerful and benevolent deity in Eden Universe, your goal is to bring your cult to the peak of civilization. With your intervention in their everyday lives and the progress of their civilizations, you can prove that you are worthy of their worship and highest regard. Even though you’re a god, you must still give your best for your mortals, since other gods want them too.

As with the majority of god games, the gameplay allows you a variety of actions. In addition to the usual resource gathering, the city-building game lets you interact with the environment, like forming new lands or sending storms. You have a direct hand in the lives of your people. Whether you want to help them with trivial tasks or grant them special gifts is entirely up to you.

Plus, you can send an Avatar to do your will on your behalf and even consult your consciences represented by two charming characters: Good and Evil. The game constitutes main, side, and tutorial quests with a plethora of challenges, promising high replayability. It employs pixel art style in a top-down perspective for easy manipulation. Nevertheless, the game is still in development, so some features are restricted.

A world of one’s own

In Eden Universe, you can build your own world with followers who worship and honor you and do whatever you want to help them reach their highest potential as a civilization. As a benevolent deity, you can provide for them or perform miracles through an Avatar or with the help of your Good and Evil consciences. Although a demo release, the city-builder proves a compelling and immersive pick.
