Eclipse Calculator 2 offers a sophisticated way to explore astronomical events from a mobile device. Designed for eclipse enthusiasts and curious observers, it covers solar and lunar eclipses alongside planetary transits. The tool combines historical records, detailed calculations, interactive maps, and simulations, making complex celestial phenomena easier to investigate.

Explore eclipses from every angle

Eclipse Calculator 2 features an extensive database covering eclipses and planetary transits from 1900 to 2100, with an optional expanded period. Users can examine worldwide visibility, calculate local contact times, track celestial positions, and explore interactive maps. Realistic simulations further demonstrate how eclipses appear from selected observing locations.

Since it is more specialized than a conventional astronomy app, meaning casual users may find its detailed information somewhat demanding. Its advanced calculations and observation tools are better suited to enthusiasts. However, GPS tracking, countdowns, calendar integration, and animated shadow simulations provide useful features for planning and exploration.

For dedicated skywatchers

Eclipse Calculator 2 delivers a comprehensive toolkit for understanding and observing remarkable celestial events. Its combination of historical coverage, precise local information, interactive maps, and realistic simulations creates an informative experience. Although its specialized approach may not appeal to everyone, astronomy enthusiasts can find considerable depth and practical value here.
