echopilot is an educational and reference program designed to assist beginners in echocardiography and provide professionals with up-to-date data and flowcharts. Developed by Robert Radke, this iPhone app aims to simplify the learning process for beginners and serve as a quick reference tool for experienced practitioners.

The program offers a step-by-step guide to adjusting all standard views of transthoracic echocardiography (TTE). It includes 3D animations of anatomy, cut planes, and ultrasound probe positioning, enhancing the understanding of the imaging process. Additionally, echopilot provides a comprehensive description of all standard loops required for an echocardiographic examination, along with 51 video loops that are meticulously marked to highlight visible structures in motion.

To further support learning, the app includes 51 detailed anatomical drawings corresponding to each loop. It also features a compendium of normative values and definitions necessary for accurate interpretation, based on current European recommendations. Clinically proven and practical info-graphics and flowcharts are available to aid in the evaluation of conditions such as wall motion abnormalities, valve pathologies, right heart strain, valve defects, and diastolic dysfunction.

For quick reference and comparison, echopilot incorporates a database of hemodynamic normal values for over 290 heart valve prostheses. The program is compatible with iPhones, iPads, and Macs with Apple M processors, offering a seamless user experience across multiple devices.
