EasyAlert is a free Android application developed by Protezione Civile Regione Calabria. It aims to provide real-time reporting of emergencies such as fires, floods, landslides, earthquakes, and other extraordinary events. With this app, users can indicate the type of event, their location, send a photo, and their contact information to the authorities.

The Protezione Civile of the Calabria Region has created this system to directly involve citizens in the reporting and management of emergencies in the area. The EasyAlert app and the connected portal allows users to interact in real-time with the control room operators. By downloading and using the app, users can become monitoring agents on the regional territory. The geolocation of the reporter, the photo of the event, and any additional notes provide more effective communication than a simple phone call. This feature gives the control room operator immediate evidence of the described phenomenon and its severity.
