Dungetris is an indie platformer that combines dungeon crawling rogue-likes and the granddaddy of puzzle games, Tetris. Indie gaming has long been the bastion of truly original thought and Dungetris is no different. After a wildly successful Early Access period, the game now available in it's finished form.

What's the deal?

It's a game where you are the adventurer as well as the level designer. As with all rogue-likes, you start out each play through as a fresh new hero. In Dungetris there is a multitude of different hero cards so every adventure is unique. On top of that, you also build the dungeon as you go, with new map tiles dropping like Tetris blocks. You have to decide where they are going to lie and hope that they're not too full of goblins and ghouls.

What's the gameplay?

The combat system is a pretty standard fare for an indie dungeon crawler. Dodge, attack and jump are you faithful companions and anyone who's played anything in this vein before will feel right at home. The uniqueness comes through when you have to place your dungeon cards. Each card is in the shape of a Tetris piece and dictates where your hero will be able to go next. So you're designing the level, as you're playing it!
