Dungeons of Dreadrock is a single-player adventure game that takes you back to the 1980s home computer gameplay experience. In this game, you’ll go through various puzzle dungeons to save your trapped brother at the bottom of the Dreadrock Mountains. Here, you must survive the 100 levels that will take you to your sibling. 

Dungeons of Dreadrock functions similarly to Animal Well, Dungeons of Hinterberg, Tetris® Forever, and Celeste — which gives players an adventure-packed experience with classic puzzle-solving elements. This game was inspired by old-school first-person grid-based real-time dungeon crawlers like Dungeon Master, Eye of the Beholder, and  Legend of Grimrock.  

Save your brother from the King of the Mountain 

Dungeons of Dreadrock’s plot centers around the protagonist who is on a mission to save his brother from the King of the Mountain. In Dreadrock Mountain, every year, a young boy is offered to the king. This time, it was your brother who was chosen. Your brother willingly came on his own and was escorted to the Dead King’s Gate although things went differently. 

With this, in able for you to reach the Dead King’s territory, you need to solve all the puzzles on your way, pass through traps, and defeat a group of enemies. This game features 100 levels that will keep you engaged as each level differs from the other. Also, each level has a stair that will lead you to the next level. Expect that there will be a lot of obstacles that you’ll encounter as you face each level.  

The game also possesses a humorous element as it sometimes uses wordplay on some level, for example, one floor has the title “You shall not pass,” which can either be a fun reference from the Lord of the Rings or it can be a hint that you can’t pass the level without doing something. Whatever it is, it’s up to you to find out. However, as the game focuses on puzzle dungeons, it doesn’t have a character development feature.
