DrawStrips Reader is an app that lets you read comics on your Mac. The program is Retina display-ready, and has been totally redesigned for Yosemite and El Capitan. And that has added to the speed and smoothness of the program.

Primary Features

DrawStrips Reader enhances your comics-reading experience on Mac. It supports various formats (CBZ, CBR, CBT, CB7, RAR, ZIP, and TAR), and the QuickLook plugin lets you set a comic’s first page as icon. And to quickly view your comics, you can use the spacebar. The tool also lets you convert the comic to another format, including ZIP, PDF, CBZ, and images folder. The image formats supported for conversion are PNG, TIFF and JPEG. Both comics and the images folder can be resized.

Customization and Enhancement

The background color can be changed, and you can also predetermine how the next comic opens in the folder. Magic Enhancer lets modifications on the fly. Attributes such as contrast, brightness, sharpness and gamma can be altered. Once the enhancements have been done, you may save the comic so that you need not do the enhancements again. Some other reader-friendly things worth mentioning are manga style reading, and native full screen mode. Also, the various controls fade away or are completely hidden when you don't need them.
