DownAlbum is an add-on and tools developed by inDream. The media downloader allows users to save media files from popular social media platforms. It can get more than one images and videos all at once. Users can define the parameters of their downloads such as file name and order. They can make backup copies of online media contents and store them in archive files.

Bulk Media File Downloading

DownAlbum helps users save every media file from social media platforms. The usual method of saving them is visiting the website and save the files one by one. The other method for saving embedded items like videos is utilizing a third-party app for. These two methods take so much time most especially with hundreds of media files. The web app is compatible with popular social media networking platforms that are used today. The following supported websites are Ask.fm, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, Twitter, and Weibo. Some social media platforms keep their media files on special locations. For Facebook, the web app saves files from Album, Photos Of or Tagged Photos, Video, Group, Message and Search. For Instagram, it saves files from Album, Photo, and Video. Users can get their media files in the following steps. They start the Page Actions function in the album or profile of their choice. They can select “Normal Download”,  “Download without auto-load”,  “Load from specific ID”, and “Export last album”. Each selection is built for downloading minimal to many media contents. The “Load from specific ID” function is used for resuming a failed autoload process. Users can also load the captions, comments, and tags, optimize the large album, and compress every data. The last step is to save the opened page while selecting “Web Page, Complete" format. The ReStyle and ChangeName feature allow renaming of files in ascending order. This is done if the file position is wrong or the fancyBox feature isn't loaded properly. ChangeName reverses the image order. Users can save the media files in an archive or save the HTML page with dragged images. They can later unzip the archive and reset the settings for downloading another album.
