豆瓣影视图书小助手 is a Chrome add-on developed by 万戈. It is a free tool that displays the rating, star rating, and comments of the current video or book on douban.com. It also shows the corresponding douban star rating and summary on video and book list pages. Currently, it supports movies and TV shows from Tencent, Youku, Tudou, iQiyi, LeTV, Sohu, and Douban, as well as books from Amazon, JD.com, Dangdang, Tmall, and Douban.

This Chrome extension was developed to address the pain point of users who want to know the objective rating of the current video or book they are watching or browsing, such as the douban rating. Instead of manually searching for the rating, star rating, and comments on douban.com, users can now automate this process with this extension.

Please note that there may be a slight delay in displaying the douban rating for the first time a video or book page is accessed, as the extension fetches real-time data from douban. Additionally, to ensure query speed, a caching mechanism is implemented, and the douban data is updated every 5 days, which may result in some discrepancies between the displayed rating and the rating found on douban.com. If the douban rating is not displayed on the right side of the video or book page, please ensure that you have the latest version of the DoubanX extension installed and enabled. Some videos, such as extras, trailers, and highlights, may not be included in the douban information and therefore will not be displayed. If you encounter any issues with the displayed douban rating link not matching the video or book you are viewing, please report it as a bug to the developer for prompt resolution.
