The game starts with a little alien called the Doodle Jumper. He wants to jump as high as possible. His main weapon is a rocket, but he has other equipment, like a jetpack, a trampoline, and an invulnerability shield.

There are some obstacles in his way: some monsters, like a wolverine, a wyvern, a watermelon, and a bee. The Jumper must shoot or jump on them. He has a special skill called "Shield." If he is hit by a monster, he will not be damaged.
