Doha News is a free reference application for mobile developed by the team over at Doha News. It's an independent English-language newspaper website that reports on various local events in and around Qatar. This official companion app lets readers catch up on happenings from their smartphones.

Similar to Qatar Airways and Qatar Events, Doha News is an app made specifically for users in Qatar. It provides relevant news and information that both residents and visitors that come to the country's capital of Doha will find helpful and convenient. Being English-only also makes it universally ideal for just about anyone.

All things Qatar

Doha is Qatar's capital city and the country's fastest-growing city. It's no wonder then that around 80% of its entire population is living within the burgeoning metropolis and its suburbs. Its streets are always abuzz with some new event or happening, and it can be overwhelming to keep it all in mind. Enter Doha News, which aims to help you make sense of everything.

Doha News was created and run by an independent news publication website that brings you all the news in English. Articles are divided into multiple categories to make it easier to find one that interests you the most. You can also cherry-pick topics that matter most to you for a more personalized feed. There's even a section dedicated to breaking news clips and live broadcasts.

What's more, you can interact and engage in some well-mannered discourse via the comments section. The user interface is simple, clean, and easy to navigate. Despite that, it could benefit from some visual improvements and a redesigned layout for a better user experience and be more in line with modern UI standards on smartphones and tablets today. It's a small and minor thing, though.

Stay in the know

Whether you're a resident or a visitor staying for a while, Doha is an eventful city and it's good to stay up-to-date with local events. With Doha News, you'll be able to do just that with its convenient and easy-to-use companion app. You can access and read up on any topic you want anywhere, anytime. This is pretty much a must-have.
