دليل قلقيلية, developed by Ahmad Shawar, is a city-specific Android app that helps residents and visitors locate businesses and services in Qalqilya. The app centralizes searchable listings, restaurant menus, interactive maps, and contact details to simplify finding stores and services. It also publishes local news, pharmacy on-call schedules, emergency numbers, and job postings to keep users informed. The target audience is residents, commuters, and visitors who need a single local reference for daily errands and community updates.

How it maps everyday errands and urgent needs

The app groups businesses and essential services into a searchable database, making it practical for planning errands and handling urgent situations. It includes a dedicated section for doctors, clinics, and the schedule for pharmacies on duty, plus emergency contact numbers. Interactive maps and location data let users find a shop or clinic and see its position in the city, which helps when time is limited or when a quick route is needed.

How it connects local merchants, diners, and job seekers

Listings include restaurants with menus and contact information, so ordering or checking options is straightforward. A dedicated jobs section lists local vacancies and employment opportunities, giving residents a place to look for work within the city. Business owners can request a listing through in-app submission or by contacting the developer, which supports direct updates from the local commercial community.

What device setup and data requirements mean for daily use

The app is available on Android via the Play Store and requires an internet connection for data synchronization, so users need standard mobile data or Wi-Fi to receive updates. Maps and location data rely on connectivity to display positions accurately. The Android focus keeps installation and updates within that ecosystem, which suits users who primarily use mobile devices for on-the-go planning.

How timely updates and community trust affect reliability

The app publishes real-time local news and community announcements, and it keeps pharmacy shifts and event information current, which supports time-sensitive decisions. Local reception is positive, with community members citing the app as a daily resource. Regularly updated listings and news items make the app useful for residents who depend on accurate, city-level information throughout the day.

Practical local reference for Qalqilya residents, best for daily city use

Because it targets Qalqilya specifically and combines directory, news, and service listings, the app is a practical option for residents and regular visitors who need a single local reference. Its narrow geographic focus means it is less useful for people outside the city. Pro tip: add the app to your home screen for faster access during errands and emergencies.
