Responsive Pricing Table is a free plugin for building tables. It’s from WordPress and available with WordPress 3.6 and higher. It’s open-source and comes with a wide range of customisable options. It’s unlikely that you will need to make changes, but anyone with a bit of HTML and CSS coding experience could do so. 

There are several other plugins you could choose from, such as EasyPricingTables,  WP Table Generator, and GoPricing. Each comes with its own special features and limitations.

You can define and update your table once and include it anywhere else on your site with a shortcode. Any updates reflect in all instances, so you don’t have to worry about remembering to update each one.

The standard fields and features you can use to design your tables are:

• Subtitle

• Price
• Price frequency (one-time, recurring monthly, recurring annual…)
• Add icons to columns and rows
• Insert text and button links
• There’s no restriction on the number of rows in your table)
• Custom buttons, e.g. for payment methods Stripe and PayPal
• Custom CSS classes

Apart from this, there are several settings you can manipulate:

• Highlight any column
• Currency sign (and whether it should be displayed)
• Links behavior (open in new window)
• Title alignment
• The color of each column can be different
• Preset font sizes

Free vs. Paid

There are no limitations with the free version. Paid versions naturally provide more features, but the free version will satisfy most users, at least at first. Paid versions also give you a pricing toggle (monthly/yearly) and hover-over tooltips, which you can use to explain details of your offerings further.

There’s also an equalizer that automatically evens out column heights making it all look much tidier. Paid versions also offer a choice of five designs or templates you could use.
