Rule Adelphia with only one action each critical turn

DICTOCRACY is a simulation game. This point-and-click game places you at the helm of Adelphia’s first presidency, challenging you to balance public welfare, cabinet demands, and foreign relations with only one action per turn. You begin with limited funds and competing pressures: provinces clamor for jobs, security, and healthcare, while ministers jockey for budget allocations.

In DICTOCRACY, each turn you select a single priority—pass a policy, build infrastructure, tweak research funding, or respond to unforeseen crises. Every decision shifts approval ratings across diverse demographics and can bolster or erode your ministers’ support.

Balance public approval against ministerial demands

In DICTOCRAC, public opinion is tracked province by province on a dynamic map, showing you at a glance where to invest in roads or schools to prevent protests and potential ousters. Random events keep the stakes high: a sudden economic downturn, border tensions, or an environmental crisis force you to pivot quickly. Diplomatic overtures to neighboring states offer trade benefits but risk entangling Adelphia in external conflicts.

Meanwhile, your ministers demand favors—funding their ministries or endorsing their initiatives—or threaten to resign. Navigating these competing priorities becomes a tense exercise in compromise and foresight. With each enacted law, you unlock sub-narratives that explore themes like media freedom, industrial expansion, or civil rights, leading to multiple endings shaped by your core values. Visuals use a clean, minimalist interface for policy cards and map overlays.

While expressive character portraits convey the emotional weight of your choices. A shifting musical score underscores triumphs with triumphant brass and failures with somber strings. As your first term progresses, you face reelection pressures: meet approval thresholds or face political oblivion. The game offers a tight, high-stakes political simulation where every move counts. However, there is a steep initial learning curve.

Navigate random crises

This DICTOCRACY game distills governance into high-stakes, turn-based choices where you, as Adelphia’s first president, take one action per day—policy, infrastructure, or diplomacy—balancing public approval, ministerial demands, and foreign relations. Provincial approval maps and randomized crises force strategic prioritization. Expressive portraits and a dynamic soundtrack amplify each decision’s weight. Branching sub-narratives and multiple endings reflect your core principles.
