dictate. is a free AI writing assistant application developed by Gabriel Monteiro Alonso. It is a speech-to-text tool powered by AI that allows users to quickly transcribe spoken words into written text in seconds. It seamlessly integrates with the system keyboard app, so it can be triggered with a tap of the mic icon and supports more than 30 languages.

Tap and speak

To use the dictate. app, tap the mic icon on your keyboard and speak away. It analyzes speech in real-time and does grammar checks and corrections on the spot. The result is a polished and optimized transcription that’s ready to use with email, messages, or anywhere with a blank text box for input. You can translate to one of the multiple languages it supports before sending.

Other notable features include the ability to search past transcriptions, widget and live activity support, and creating a personal dictionary for special words or phrases. On a side note, this free tier will let you do only 70 transcriptions per week. The Pro version removes this and adds more features, including cross-device operation and more advanced speech optimizations.
