This game features new and familiar characters, all of which have new stories and mysteries to tell. Will Sheiji finally find true love? 

New characters, familiar faces, same Seiji 

Destiny Star Girlfriend 3 continues Seiji’s story, he survives an attempt on his life by Kanoko Satake, a second-year student and covert magical girl. Tasked with protecting humans against deep-space monsters, Kanoko's actions are linked to a childhood tragedy involving a powerful Majin. The story delves into themes of destiny, personal growth, and the complexities of human relationships. However, Seiji’s personality remains the same, leading to little character development. 

As a visual novel, the game offers a linear storyline with multiple choices that provide players with a sense of agency. The estimated playtime is around 10 hours, featuring high-quality artwork, anime-style sprites, and professional Japanese voice acting. The game includes occasional crude humor, crass language, sexual innuendo, and references to battles between humans and demons. A caveat is that this installment is virtually the same as the previous games. 

The game boasts vibrant, striking, colorful visuals, bringing characters and scenes to life. Using animations enhances the storytelling, particularly during magical battles and transformation sequences. The voice acting is commendable, with each character's personality effectively conveyed. The characters' designs are also well-done, each with unique tones, carefully crafted to feature their personality using their appearance. A downside is that the graphics and animation did not change much from previous games. 

A charming but familiar romcom adventure 

Destiny Star Girlfriend 3 continues Seiji’s quest for love, offering fans vibrant visuals, engaging storylines, and professional voice acting. While its themes of destiny and personal growth are compelling, minimal character development and the lack of significant innovation may leave returning players craving more. Despite its repetitive nature, the game remains an enjoyable experience for visual novel and romcom enthusiasts.
