Desktop Defender is a premium strategy PC game from developer Conradical Games. It is an idle tower defense auto-battler featuring minimal and vibrant neon-soaked graphics. What makes it stand out is that it can be played from the corner of desktop home screens, allowing players to play while working.

Corner defense 

In Desktop Defender, you control a lone tower as you try to defend against relentless waves of enemies coming from all sides. Choose from diverse weapons and abilities each time you level up, as well as stumble upon rare loot from defeated enemies as you progress along.

Once you reach a certain point, you can opt to reset your entire run to earn Ascendium, which provides various perks and upgrade options to make progression easier on your next go around. However, the gameplay experience can feel repetitive due to a lack of depth.

Not bad 

If you are into “desktop games”, Desktop Defender is another excellent option. It’s easy to get into with its idle and auto-battle systems in place, and you get a decent amount of control and complexity. If all you want is something simple and entertaining, it’s worth a shot.
