DeafBlind is a free-to-download simulator from developer and publisher Joe Williams. As the title implies, it’s a game that simulates the experience of being deafblind, so don’t expect to hear audio or see vibrant in-game graphics. It’s just you and the pitch-black screen.

No sound or visuals

In DeafBlind, you don’t explore lush landscapes or listen to immersive audio. Rather, you navigate around a pitch-black virtual space, where you rely on your sense of touch and press a random combination of buttons to — hopefully — trigger an achievement. 

These achievements showcase your activity in the game, from jumping to feeling an object. The black screen makes for a nice screen saver, too. However, this title is not worth downloading if you’re looking for something more visually and sonically engaging.

Experience being a deafblind individual

DeafBlind immerses players in an experience where everything is shrouded in darkness and silence. Whether it’s feeling an object or jumping, most actions are translated into in-game achievements. While the title delivers its premise, the lack of audio and visuals is not something that players will like.
