de·caff Viewer is a free-of-charge Java-based program that offers streamlined options to open Autodesk’s AutoCAD drawing files with format types such as DWG, DXF, and SHX. How it works 

Once you launch the de·caff Viewer suite, you will be greeted by a large window interface designed in a sharply defined structure that allows you to zoom in and out of the AutoCAD drawings. Simply through your mouse, you can pan and rotate the model to any angle. You can opt to change your viewing mode either top or bottom depending on which will be more comfortable for you.
