DBeaver is a free, multi-platform database management tool for users who need to work with data professionally. This development app allows you to manipulate your data like a regular spreadsheet, create analytical reports based on records, and export information in the correct format. Irrespective of the database you chose—MySQL, SQLite, Microsoft SQL Server, or Firebird—this app can handle multiple connections. With this, you can organize and edit various databases, including scripts, user accounts, and indexes.

User-friendly database tool

DBeaver offers a user-friendly and intuitive interface. Upon launching, the app automatically scans the entire computer and displays all existing connections—if they are available. If you want to make a connection, you only need to access the proper option, choose the database, and set the login credentials. Optionally, you can specify the ODBC drivers if they are required. Afterward, the app will display all of the identified database and users for the connection you chose.

A new tab—entitled Projects—will also be available, where you can access the database object you want and view its data. By clicking on a specific table, the right panel will show all the necessary information, such as available columns, references, triggers, and indexes. It also displays all predefined constraints and foreign keys, as well as a proper Create DDL statement. As noted, you can manipulate the data like a regular spreadsheet.

However, for advanced database users, DBeaver comes with a reliable SQL editor that allows you to quickly edit and execute queries and scripts.  You can run the selected query using the proper available options in the toolbar or by pressing the CTRL + Enter key combination. In addition to running queries, the app allows you to load existing SQL scripts and even validate or analyze the selected query.
