Dawn of War: SoulStorm - Unification Mod is a game utility that works as a race combiner for the critically-acclaimed real-time strategy game, Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War - Soulstorm. This mod allows you to play several different mod races in a single game with minimal effort. Not only that, but it also serves as a bug fixer to the original game. This unification mod works for both the Steam and DVD version of Dawn of War: Soulstorm.

Lots of mandatory mods

The Unification mod is an advanced combiner mod that allows you to seamlessly combine almost all community-created races. Whereas most race combiner mods can cause problems with getting different component mods to play nicely, the unification mod will give you a crash-free experience. You will be able to play against all the nine vanilla races, plus other community-added races such as Dark Angels, Emperor’s Children, Steel Legion, and more. There are also new modes and maps added, but these are largely unfinished so it might be best not to try them yet. 

Before installing the mod, you need to completely delete all previous installations—you must not overwrite. Besides the mod itself, you will also need the FreUI mod and the Objective Points mod. For Unification New Races, you will also need the Chaos Daemons and Inquisition Daemonhuners race mods, Of course, you also need to install the race mods you want to play. Once all the required mods are installed, you will need to extract the configuration file—already included in the Unification archive—in your SS folder and run it. 

As noted, the mod works for both the Steam and DVD version. However, to get maximum efficiency, you need to get updated to the latest patch version. Also, you need to have a capable machine to play the game at almost full setting. Your computer must have at least 6GBs in memory. The >2Gb memory buffer patch is also highly recommended for playing heavy games—for over four players and many races. Note that every time the game is updated by Steam, you will also need to update the .exe for >2GBs memory allocation.

You can also enjoy many updates, including new modes and maps. There are lots of mandatory mods needed during installation and it requires a high-spec rig for it to work efficiently, but all that trouble is worth it as it seamlessly incorporates all your favorite races.
