Datt Mahatmya (Marathi) is a religious scripture consisting of the stories of the 24 divine beings who are part of the Hindu trinity. The stories in this book have a special significance as they are based on the life of the historical figures Lord Krishna, Lord Shiva and Lord Dattatreya. This religious scripture is a fundamental book for the Hindu religion. It is believed to be a divine revelation and as such, it is considered to be the most important book in the entire Hindu religious literature. It is often referred to as the “Gurucharitra” as it contains the accounts of the life of the man-god Krishna.
