Dark Sky is a premium card game offering a fresh take on deckbuilding and RPG genres, highlighting character card customization, strategic combat, and card synergies. It lets you build decks, select your own party, and battle against enemies. Developed by Ganymede Games, it’s available on PC.  

Similar to games like Slay the Spire, Balatro, Marvel’s Midnight Suns, and SUPER ROBOT WARS V, Dark Sky provides a strategic deckbuilding gameplay experience to players. The game lets you engage in card and grid-based combat wherein you can take turns to plan your party’s actions to enhance their abilities and defeat your foes. 

Tactical combat and an upgradable card system 

Dark Sky’s plot takes place on Wolf Prime, a mining planet destroyed by an unidentifiable force resulting in all the spaceships being removed. Here, you’ll play as Squig and Norton, miners on Wolf Prime, who investigate the cause of the crisis that made their workplace torn apart. In this game, you can deploy your own party and choose your own characters depending on your preferred playstyle for each battle. 

As this is a card game, battles happen using cards, allowing you to customize your decks per member of your party, combine these cards to cause effects and unlock abilities by creating and upgrading new cards. Furthermore, players can learn their enemy’s intent, navigate the grid to prevent their foes' attacks, or risk staying in the line of fire to shoot their enemies properly. 

Additionally, there's an upgrade system wherein each card has a unique progression tree for you to discover and upgrade. During your gameplay, you’ll meet various playable characters, each with their own set of decks, playstyle, and personalities. Make sure to utilize Squig and Norton’s holographic clones and electric abilities as you play as well. While the game has a rich narrative, it doesn’t have a character development feature.
