Dark Roll: Free Kick Challenge is a spin-off game based on the original Dark Roll Game. However, instead of navigating mazes, you will play football. As mentioned, it is a free-kick simulator, where you are challenged to score as many goals as possible. However, instead of an actual player, you will control the dark ball. Of course, there will be a goalie who will try to stop you from scoring.

The game comes with single-player campaigns, where you can play to complete all the challenges and score as many goals as you can. Although, the modes will still compare you with other players via a leaderboard. If you are confident of your skills, however, you can play the multiplayer free-kick shootouts. Here, each player has five chances to score a goal.

Although Free Kick Challenge comes with mechanics that are simple to understand, the game is actually challenging. It has a demanding level of difficulty. Of course, the rankings will also make players strive harder. However, getting a higher rank can be more challenging. You gain nothing from winning against an unranked player. Additionally, you get easily demoted if you lose one match, even though you have a winning streak.
