Cubohue is a free graphic and design application made for mobile devices. It is a color picker utility that can help artists and designers choose specific color combinations and shades they need for their work. It boasts multiple mixing tools to change color characteristics to achieve unique results.

Compared to similar solutions available like ColorMeter Free or Color Picker, Cubohue features a clean and more intuitive user interface that even beginners can navigate and get accustomed to quickly. It also offers various options to manipulate and modify color effects to suit specific requirements and output.

Virtual color swatch

For any graphic designer or artist, color is just as important as sketching tools for their craft. It aids in conveying a specific mood or vibe that's not always achievable with simple black ink on white canvas or vice versa. Traditionally, they would rely on a color swatch to help them pick the one they need. With Cubohue, you essentially have the same, but more versatile.

If you've used any kind of color picker before, then this program will feel familiar to you. You get a color bar slider to help you find a hue you like. Pick one you like, and you will even get its corresponding hex code—handy for websites and digital graphic design apps. You can then mix and match different shades to come up with unique combinations.

What's more, there are eight modifiers that you can use to manipulate the colors even further. Some of them include sliders for brightness, saturation, and tint, to name a few. The only thing to note here is the presence of ads, which can be very intrusive at times. It's not a deal breaker. Just something to keep in mind before you start using it.

Incredibly handy and useful

Overall, Cubohue is one of those apps that just makes sense to have for any artist or graphic designer. It's easy to use, provides useful hex codes, and you can modify colors in pretty much any way to achieve the results you want. This is basically your modern color swatch, and it is definitely worth giving a try. Recommended and a must-have for many.
