You will play the role of Cadence, who is looking for her missing father. During the search, she falls into a crypt, where the NecroDancer steals Cadence's heart. Cadence can't do anything without following the music's beat and has to find both her heart and her father.

You will have to fight against various enemies and solve puzzles in order to find out where Cadence's father is and get out of the crypt.

You can play Crypt of the NecroDancer with a dance pad, a gamepad, or a keyboard. Having the Protagonists be able to do anything only as the music beats makes the Crypt of the NecroDancer a rhythm roguelike game.
