What makes Crusader Kings III: Road to Power a unique DLC is that not only does it add gameplay changes such as new styles of empire management, running family estates, and so on, but players can also opt to play as a landless adventurer who seeks fame and glory across an ever-evolving, living map of the medieval world where you're free to do anything as you please.

Being a landless adventurer allows players to let them do whatever they please, even through the generations, building up a reputation of their own. As the emperor, players can enact sweeping changes that will change the course of history and allow them to choose a successor of their choosing or opt to co-rule if the burden of the throne is too much to handle. The DLC also supports player mods as well.

Despite these improvements, some of the additions are lackluster. For one, cosmetics additions are a nice addition, yet they don’t add anything useful to the gameplay other than to make the costumes look neat. Other than that, new changes mean increasing the difficulty of the already existing learning curve from the base game itself, so players can expect the difficult hurdles that await them.
