Creature Lab is a first-person RPG that requires users to take on the role of a mad scientist. They will perform experiments and salvage body parts in order to create monsters from scratch.

While Creature Lab is based purely on science fiction, it contains many elements that are found in other real-world experimentation SIMs, such as Virtual Lab. Players can peer through the lens of a microscope, mix mutagens, and even transplant body parts. Each action is also associated with an entirely different outcome.

The main character is a scientist who wishes to create demons through the use of alchemy, chemistry, and sheer experimentation. However, not all projects will come to fruition. Therefore, users will have to learn from their past mistakes if they hope to make progress.

The in-game lab is equipped with a host of arcane equipment. Nonetheless, it will be necessary to obtain "donor parts" from time to time. Players can release their creations in order to attack civilian and military targets. These subjects will then be used when performing additional experiments.

VHS-style graphics

Thanks to somewhat blurry graphics and cutscenes, Creature Lab has been designed with a slightly retro feel. Appearing as if it were ripped directly from a 1980s VHS tape, this game should appeal to fans of nostalgic horror and gore.
