Creature Kitchen is a premium puzzle PC game by developer The Rat Zone. It is a PS1-style creature-collecting adventure with cooking gameplay elements. In it, players will befriend wild animals and prepare their favorite snacks from inside a cabin in the middle of a dark and mysterious forest. A demo is also available for newcomers.

Creepy yet cozy

In Creature Kitchen, you’re staying at a strange cabin in the middle of the spooky forest at night and will attempt to befriend the local wildlife and prepare their favorite snacks. Meet a wide variety of animals with big appetites and tastes, so head back to the kitchen and get to cooking more than 40 unique recipes. You can also snap photos of your newfound friends to keep in your album.

Outside of cooking, you explore the large cabin itself and the surrounding forest to look for ingredients needed for the recipes you’ll prepare and even uncover hidden secrets long forgotten. Sadly, the gameplay itself is quite short, and the game could use more content to extend the experience for longer.

Weirdly relaxing

Despite its appearance, Creature Kitchen serves up a nice and cozy experience that you can check out if you’re a fan of these types of games. The low-poly graphics add a retro charm, and there are plenty of animals to befriend and recipes to cook up. Hopefully, future updates can build upon the base gameplay with more content. Recommended.
