Crackers Wither Storm challenges players in a survival mode where they try to defeat the Wither Storm. The mod does not require prior knowledge of the Story Mode. However, it completely changes the way you play the sandbox game. Moreover, it can cause large amounts of lag, especially when you summon more than one Wither Storm in the same world. 

What is Crackers Wither Storm?

The Wither Storm is an enormous wither that serves as the main antagonist for the first four episodes of season one of Minecraft: Story Mode. However, this creature only exists in the Story Mode. While the materials needed to build one exist, players cannot craft it in the normal Minecraft. Fortunately, some modders made add-ons to the game, allowing you to play against this creature.

Crackers Wither Storm Mod brings the Wither Storm to Minecraft. To summon it, locate the rundown house at X:0, Z:0 and place the last wither skull on top of the incomplete wither-like structure. The creature grows and evolves by absorbing its surroundings—even almost any mob. Once fully summoned, it will try to chase you. Players should arm themselves with tools, armor, some projectiles, and food to survive.  

Installing the mod is easy, as it only requires you to download it for your specified version and drop it into your mods folder. However, it is only for Forge and does not port to the latest Minecraft. Additionally, as the Wither Storm destroys everything in its path, it can completely change your world. You don't want to summon it on a pre-existing world, especially if it's your only copy. 

Fresh mechanics and darker depths

Crackers Wither Storm - Minecraft Mod adds a new area to explore in the form of the Bowels, a dark dimension inside the monster itself. You can enter it once the Wither Storm reaches phase 7.5, where flesh-covered corridors and caves lead to the Command Block arena for the final fight. During this encounter, the Command Block summons sickened mobs, with more waves appearing as the battle progresses. You'll also face a Withered Symbiont that must be defeated before you can continue damaging the Command Block, making the final encounter more challenging.

The Wither Storm is also more than a monster that simply follows you around. From phase 4 onward, it can select a target and pursue them in a sustained chase. If the target leaves the dimension, the Storm can track their last known location. During a chase, it can reach speeds of more than 11 blocks per second, making it difficult to get away. Server owners can also adjust various aspects of the experience through configuration options, including the Storm's evolution speed, targeting behavior, tractor beams, and explosions.

Overall, Crackers Wither Storm - Minecraft Mod is a great addition to your usual Minecraft play. The mod brings more challenge to the game as it makes you survive against a formidable foe. However, you should only summon this creature in a pre-existing world, as it can completely destroy it. Moreover, you should refrain from summoning more than one Wither Storm as it can cause serious lag issues.
