Covenant Eyes is a screen accountability and security program devoted to fight against pornography. It's a worthwhile initiative to build a safe Internet ecosystem at home. With Covenant Eyes, parents will watch what their children see online, which hopefully leads to important discussions about Internet use. Although it is intended to dissuade children from viewing porn, it has also proves to be useful in curbing porn addiction.

How does the Covenant Eyes app work?

Covenant Eyes focuses on a service built on transparency that is clean, stable, and ensures that consumers can fight porn addiction. It follows a four-step protocol for all users: screen capturing, screenshot analysis, screenshot preparation, and operation monitoring. The first step captures regular on-screen movement and saves it to your account. The software analyzes these screenshots for sexually suggestive images using its advanced artificial intelligence. All the photographs are rated and blurred because of your privacy.

Each screenshot is transmitted via HTTPS and AES 256 encryption. Any circumvented efforts and any related operation will be forwarded to you and your Ally. Allies are your trusted friends or family members who can get a rundown of the websites you've visited (including the ranking of each site). They are otherwise known as Accountability Partners, so it is up to you to pick the person you can trust with the data.

The program also has a built-in app locking feature. This means any attempt to uninstall the Covenant Eyes app will be recorded and sent to your ally immediately. The app also supports Filtering; it will use CleanBrowsing DNS and lock in SafeSearch for Google Chrome, Bing, and DuckDuck. The only limitation of the app is that it cannot take screenshots when you’re using Private Browsing or Incognito mode, but it will notify your ally when you do use this.

It cannot take screenshots when you’re using a private browser, but it will notify your ally about all of your internet activity. Ultimately, the app allows you to secure yourself with the program and with someone you trust. Being responsible to a friend or family member will discourage a cycle of porn and violence, making it a valuable investment in the long run.
