Cosmos Free is a Windows cleaner and optimization tool with 24 different components. Cosmos Free covers a wide variety of categories including Security & Privacy, Backup & Recovery, Disk Optimization, Registry Optimizers and Windows Optimizers. Cosmos helps you to optimize your system by removing duplicated files, unnecessary startup items and malicious entries in your system registry. Cosmos goes beyond this though and also includes a backup tool, a data restoration tool and even and undelete feature to prevent the loss of valuable files and data. If you need an all round maintenance, backup and data rescue tool, Cosmos is therefore a useful option. However, Cosmos feels like a very generic optimizer/maintenance tool and without extensive use, it's hard to gauge the effectiveness of the optimizer or the ability to recover deleted files. Note that in this free edition, some functionality is missing or limited.
