Corona Science is a free iPhone app developed by Berner Fachhochschule. The app aims to collect high-quality and anonymous data on the health of the Swiss population on a voluntary basis. Its main goal is to support scientists in gaining a better understanding of the psychosomatic state of individuals during the lockdown. Additionally, it aims to create a large national community to monitor the development of the pandemic. The collected data will be made available to research teams through the MIDATA platform and OpenData.ch, the Swiss section of Open Knowledge. The data will also be shared with the SDSC project, a joint initiative of EPFL and ETHZ.

The app is intended for residents of Switzerland, regardless of their health status. It encourages users to follow the measures implemented by the government, stay at home, and regularly report their health status and other COVID-19-related information. The data collected will be anonymized and shared with the Open Data Community, ensuring that no personal information can be derived from it.
