Cookie Manager: View, Edit, Import & Export, maintained by independent developers, is a Chrome extension that gives technical users direct control over browser cookies for debugging and session handling. The tool lists cookies, lets users edit values and security flags, and supports import/export in JSON and Netscape formats for moving session data between profiles and tools. It presents a cleaner UI than Chrome's developer tools and targets web developers, QA testers, and privacy-minded power users who need explicit cookie control.

Built for developers and power users who need precise cookie control

Cookie Manager focuses on inspection and editing tasks. The extension lists cookies for the active tab or the entire browser and provides real-time editing, creation, and deletion. A built-in search bar filters entries quickly. Developers and QA testers gain immediate access to cookie attributes without opening the full developer console, and the UI reduces clutter compared with native tools.

It keeps resource use minimal during routine cookie workflows

The extension is designed to avoid heavy tooling overhead. The description states it does not consume significant system resources while active, so it runs alongside other browser tabs without adding a large footprint. That behavior suits quick edits and verification tasks performed during development, rather than prolonged analysis inside a separate profiling tool.

It exposes security flags and manages cookie data locally

Privacy-related attributes are visible and editable inside the interface. The extension reveals and lets you change flags such as Secure, HttpOnly, and SameSite, and it operates locally on the browser rather than transmitting cookie data externally. Users should treat this as a management utility rather than an automatic tracker-blocker or a consolidated privacy suite.

Import/export options make cross-profile session work practical on Chromium

Export and import support fits QA and session-migration needs. The tool saves cookies to files and loads them from JSON or Netscape/wget formats, and it can export only the cookies filtered by domain or active tab. Compatibility extends to other Chromium-based browsers, so teams can move session states between profiles or devices that run Chrome-compatible extensions.

Practical, technical offering for evaluative users; not a consolidated privacy bundle

Maintained by the developer and requiring a desktop environment for Chrome Web Store extensions, the extension is a pragmatic, technically oriented offering best suited to users who evaluate small-team tools. Those preferring broad, consolidated privacy protections should consider a different product. Tip: install and use the extension only in a desktop profile reserved for development or testing. Evaluate it against organizational extension policies before wide deployment.
