Connect 同行, developed by Catholic Diocese Of Hong Kong, is a mobile companion connecting the Diocese with parishioners across Hong Kong. The app centralizes liturgical and parish information, offering news, devotional material, parish directories, and event listings to support local church life. It provides multilingual content and tools intended for lay faithful, clergy, and parish staff who need a single, verified channel for diocesan communications and spiritual resources across the territory.

Helps structure daily devotion with audio and offline reading

The app supplies daily liturgical readings, common prayers and a digital Bible that includes text-to-speech, plus hymn audio and sheet music for individual practice. It allows access to key devotional items without constant connectivity, so users can follow a daily routine using spoken scripture, hymn playback, and cached prayer texts on their device.

Designed for Hong Kong's multilingual congregations

Connect supports Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, and English, a fact that makes it useful across language groups within the territory. The parish directory lists mass and confession schedules along with contact and location details, helping visitors and residents find nearby services in the language they prefer.

Provides an official channel for parish and diocesan communications

The app delivers verified announcements directly to users through real-time notifications and publishes bishop's letters and parish-specific updates. It also lists event information and includes registration for diocesan activities and courses, which centralizes administrative notices from the Diocese and individual parishes.

Offers formation content but does not describe built-in learning metrics

Faith formation materials appear as articles and multimedia alongside course event listings, so the app serves as a content hub for ongoing instruction. The published feature list emphasizes content delivery and event registration; it does not describe a progress-tracking dashboard or completion reports for learners within the app itself.

Practical diocesan companion for parish engagement, with a caveat on structured learning

Connect 同行 is a practical option for Catholics and parish staff who want a single, official channel linking diocesan communications to devotional material. It supports daily personal practice and parish coordination, but educators planning formal courses should account for the absence of in-app progress reporting when designing tracked formation programmes.
