Codex Valoris: Idle Dungeon is a free role-playing game for mobile developed by Virtualcoma. It is a dark-fantasy dungeon crawler adventure featuring charming pixel art visuals, wherein players will go on dangerous dungeon raids alone, battling hostile monsters in a quest for strength, glory, and riches with collectible precious loot.  

Comparable to games like Idle Dungeon Raiders or Guild Master - Idle Dungeons, Codex Valoris features idle gameplay mechanics where heroes will fight, level up, and loot, even when players are away. It boasts deep character progression that allows players to create different builds to suit their preferred play style and different battle situations. 

Lone raider 

In Codex Valoris: Idle Dungeon, you play as a lone warrior on a quest to raid dungeons in order to grow stronger, as well as collect precious loot and gear along the way. Given its idle gameplay, you can sit back and watch your hero battle it out against a wide assortment of enemy monsters across four distinct dungeon areas. 

Choose between Warrior, Mage, or Rogue classes, invest in their STR, VIT, AGI, and LCK stats, and pick from different skill sets from your Grimoire that complement their abilities. Open random chests during your run for unique relics that give out powerful perks and bonuses, as well as more than 20 Mystic Arts, which are passive skills that boost your powers further. You can even bring battle support pets. 

There’s a Prestige and Ascension system to reset your run in exchange for permanent power. There’s also the Arena, where you can battle other players in online PvP and test your builds. On a side note, Codex Valoris: Idle Dungeon comes with ads that are a bit distracting at times. Also, there’s a moderate learning curve at the beginning as you get accustomed to all its systems and mechanics.

All in all, Codex Valoris: Idle Dungeon offers a fun, engaging time, with idle gameplay that makes it more accessible to new players and RPG mechanics that offer depth and customization.
